In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. If God is the same yesterday, today and forever, then God is still the word. Poetry destroys and rebuilds. Poetry burns and soothes. Poetry cuts and heals. Poetry exposes the ugly and makes it a thing of beauty. Poetry makes me right when it forces me to write.
