Redesigning Rice Photosynthesis to Increase Yield
af P.L. (Department of Animal and Plant Sciences University of Sheffield United Kingdom) Mitchell
Bog, Hardback, Engelsk, 2000
Rice yields need to increase in order to keep pace with the growing population of Asia and to alleviate hunger and poverty. This work aims at understanding how the rice plant's photosynthetic pathway could be redesigned to overcome yield limits. It discusses the factors controlling yield from the agronomic to the molecular level.
