Paul is living at a halfway house with a couple of other guys, all overcoming their addictions. Here, he has met two women; Linda and Laura. Laura is another addict whereas Linda is here on a break from Syracuse. Although attracted to both, Paul proposes to Linda, thinking her stable mental attitude and youthfulness will help him focus on getting better and keeping on track.
